About Oman Air
Oman Air is the national airline of the Sultanate of Oman, operating international flights from Muscat to destinations across Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. Although Oman Air is not an EU airline, passengers may still be entitled to compensation under EU261 on qualifying flights departing from the EU or EEA.

Passenger rights under EU261
Passengers may have rights under EU261 when an Oman Air flight departs from an EU or EEA airport and arrives at least three hours late, is cancelled at short notice or results in a missed connection, provided the disruption was within the airline's control.
When are you entitled to compensation?
EU261 generally applies only to Oman Air flights departing from EU or EEA airports. Flights departing from Oman or other non-EU countries to the EU are generally not covered because Oman Air is not an EU airline.
